Translating the names of the Franconian languages

My guess for Franconian is "Frankça(sı)" on my part. As for the first part of each of the language names, equivalents in Turkish for "Central", "East", "Low", and "Rhine" may suffice. --Apisite (mesaj) 23.53, 17 Mayıs 2020 (UTC)

Well, "Frankça" might be the right term. For "Central" it is "Orta", "East" is "Doğu", "Low" is "Aşağı" and "Rhine" is "Renan". But you do not need to add the "sı" suffix to "Frankça" I guess. You could take "Middle High German language" for instance. We translate this as "Orta Yüksek Almanca", not as "Orta Yüksek Almancası". Hope this helped. ~ Z (m) 00.22, 18 Mayıs 2020 (UTC)

Hmmm, I researched a bit and found that Renan is an area. If a language is for a spesific area, then we add "sı" suffix. For example Kategori:Mısır Arapçası is Egyptian Arabic language ~ Z (m) 00.38, 18 Mayıs 2020 (UTC)

Adding translations

When you add/preview several translations to one article (e.g. Küba), you don't need to click "save" (kaudet) after each one. You can save all at once after adding/previewing many. --LA2 (mesaj) 09.56, 28 Ekim 2021 (UTC)

When I try to add translations, it fails in some articles, with an error message that I don't understand. One example is amele. When I try to add, e.g. en:worker or sv:arbetare, it says "Could not find translation table for 'en:worker'. Glosses should be unique". What does this mean? --LA2 (mesaj) 21.51, 31 Ekim 2021 (UTC)

Category interwikis

When you create new categories, such as Kategori:İbranice dişil adlar, you can also create interwiki links. This is not done automatically for categories. Here's how I do it:

1. Go to the new category, e.g. Kategori:İbranice dişil adlar. Select it's full name ("Kategori:İbranice dişil adlar") and copy it (ctrl-c).
2. Go to a parent category, e.g. Kategori:Dillerine göre dişil adlar.
3. Go to English Wiktionary, en:Category:Feminine nouns by language.
4. Find the corresponding subcategory, en:Category:Hebrew feminine nouns.
5. Click In other languages > Edit links. This brings you to Wikidata and d:Q32922707#sitelinks-wiktionary.
6. In the section for Wiktionary, click edit, add "tr" and paste (ctrl-V) the copied name ("Kategori:İbranice dişil adlar").
7. Click publish.
8. Click on the new name to return to the new category.
9. Add ?action=purge to the URL, to purge the page and make the interwiki links visible.

It seems you (+ old name) and I have about the same number of total edits, but in different languages of Wiktionary. My home is sv.wiktionary, a small language but with a steady Wiktionary growth. Asian languages are poorly represented there. I see you made some edits there this spring and summer, and also some in 2018. If you want a new hobby, you are welcome to contribute more.
